Supporting South Sudanese Refugee Churches

“We have been spiritually transformed from our former knowing of God” Group 1 led by Deng Malueth Deng

AID is supporting leaders from 7 South Sudanese refugee churches, as they undertake a 3-month training course at Berea Christian College in Kenya. Though some of these churches care for up to 600 people who have escaped the trauma of war at home, many of the leaders have not had the opportunity to do any Bible training.

At Berea students are studying topics such as: Bible Overview, Knowledge of God and the Church.

“It has improved me so much, such that I can stand and teach people about God. Our people have been deceived so much by non-Christian and as we learn the Word of God we will be able to bring them back to God.” Group 4, led by Elizabeth Abiur Majok.

In June the students will head back to their churches in Nakuru, Kenya.

“With this knowledge and experience I’ll gain from this course, I’ll be able to go and teach more Christians back at home more about God.” Group 1 led by Deng Malueth Deng
