Jesmond to Jonglei 7,700 miles there and back!

A group of intrepid pedallers are planning on pummelling over 7,700 miles (the distance and back again between Jesmond in Newcastle and Jonglei in South Sudan) on a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for the vital work of the Jonglei Health Sciences Institute in Bor, South Sudan.

The group is led by retired surgeon Graham Morritt who organised a similar event in 2021.  The plan this time is to raise £7,700 at a rate of £1 per mile.  Graham said,

“We want as many people involved as possible. Most of all, we should pray that God will bless this effort to help the people of South Sudan.”

Both amateur and pro cyclists are welcome.  Please get in touch with the AID office, and Alice will put you in touch with Graham.

But if you are not a cyclist, you can still support the group through prayer and giving.  Every mile counts, and every pound will be put to life-enhancing use in South Sudan.  If you would like to give, please click on the following link.
